About

*Re-written on January 4th, 2014 after being erased by accident

Before You Start: Hi there!! 😀 I’m so happy you found my blog. Let’s say this is like my second world so come on and enter  it….

Blogger Name: The Reading Girl

I am a dreamer…(I really am)

” Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living. “

-Anais Nin

I am an extreme bookworm, quiet but not shy, outgoing, serious but fun at the same time…The Reading Girl.

I am not afraid to say what I feel. I am not afraid to fight for what I believe in. I am a very active person. Always doing something or exercising. But mostly reading and writing. I usually read more than two books at the same time and have read all kinds of books.Ever since I was small  I have always read books. It all started when my mom used to read me this series about mysteries (I don’t remember the name) and I just fell in love with books and reading. I then started reading Cam Jansen mysteries after and then Magic Tree House and so on. I love all types of books mostly YA.

I dance for God, sing, preach at my church (sometimes) and I am a very devoted Christian. Having a relationship with God, in my opinion is the best thing in the world. I always feel fresh and new when I talk with him everyday. Remember God loves you…

Besides reading and writing:

I’m fascinated with cinematography, photography, music, drawing, technology, human rights, religion, history of the world, and fashion.

I also admire Audrey Hepburn…she is my Icon.

About the Blog:

“If a story is in you, it has to come out.”
-William Faulkner

To me blogging is the best thing that could have ever been made. It’s a symbol of freedom of speech and expressing your thoughts without anyone stopping you. Blogging also helps you to find yourself. I have always wanted to have a blog and My wish finally came true!  Not only is this blog going to be about book reviews but it’s also going to be a blog where I will post my ideas,my views about the world, personal updates, my interest, music, videos, photos, quotes, and etc. The Reading Girl is a blog where anyone can see it and can comment and interact. I dedicate my time to this blog and try to make it as good as possible and enjoyable for my fellow readers.

The idea of making a blog came to me after I realized my love of writing and reading. Also it came to me when a boy in my class called me the Reading Girl because he always saw me reading a different book each day. I wanted to have a blog that would look friendly and interesting. I come up with my ideas after a long tiring day eager to share them with all of you. I hope that all of you LOVE the Reading Girl blog and share it with the world.

I created this blog 3 years ago  and I am very happy with the process it has made.

Enjoy and I hope I can meet all of you.

Thanks for following, liking, and commenting.

Love, The Reading Girl

      • Yazmin, if you read My Life and About, on my blog, you will understand how truly packed my life is. I would love to follow each and every blog that follows me but it is just not possible. I wanted to be up front with you, so there would not be any possible misunderstandings. I fit my blog in around my life and come Spring and Summer AND Fall, my life will become even more packed. I wish “this world” is my main focus in my life. Perhaps one day.

        BIG (((HUGS))), Amy

  3. Hello sweet Yasmin

I would like to nominate you to participate in a Writing Process Blog Meme.

If you accept my nomination, you will need to write an article prompted by the following four questions and post it on your blog on Monday, May 5, 2014. You’ll also nominate three writers of your choice to post their articles on their blogs on May 12, 2014. The four questions:

What am I working on at the moment?
How does my work differ from others of its genre?
Why do I write what I do?
How does my writing process work?

I’d be honored if you would accept this nomination. Please let me know ASAP so that I can feature your blog in my post on April 28, 2014.

I will use some info from your About Me Profile information to let my viewers know more about you, if you don’t mind. Or, if you would like me to say something different you could let me know?

Thanks Yasmin! I hope you decide to try this. I would love to showcase your writing because I’ve tasted a bit of what you can do and think you have great potential.

    • Hi Staci 🙂 Of course I would love to do this. I have a question:
I answer all the questions in one post and answer them? And then on May 12 I write a different post only about the writers I nominated?
I am okay with you writing the information you have read on the about me part 🙂

Also will your post on the 28th explain it all?

Once again, thank you!! I feel honored 😀

      • Hey Yazmin. Ok, it’s like this:

You share that you were invited by me (yours truly 🙂 ). Then you share the four questions. Then, on the same post, you nominate 3 other bloggers, however, you would contact them first and let them know that if they accept, they would have to do the same thing. You would post this all on May 5th and they would post theirs on May 12th (one week later). When your nominees do theirs, they would advise their nominees that their post would have to be one week after them, on May 19th (and so on).

I hope that’s a little clearer. If you have any other questions, just let me know ok.

        🙂

      • Great. I’ll be posting on Monday. Yup, you answer the questions. The people you nominate will also have to answer the questions when they do their post.
        Hugs 🙂
