Summary: Princess Eadlyn has grown up hearing endless stories about how her mother and father met. Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won the heart of Prince Maxon—and they lived happily ever after. Eadlyn has always found their fairy-tale story romantic, but she has no interest in trying to repeat it. If it were up to her, she’d put off marriage for as long as possible.

But a princess’s life is never entirely her own, and Eadlyn can’t escape her very own Selection—no matter how fervently she protests.

Eadlyn doesn’t expect her story to end in romance. But as the competition begins, one entry may just capture Eadlyn’s heart, showing her all the possibilities that lie in front of her . . . and proving that finding her own happily ever after isn’t as impossible as she’s always thought.

Short Summary: Jan Miller is a senior in high school who’s convinced she is destined to lead the world’s least fabulous life. Her college application deadlines are looming and her French homework is taunting her. And she never seems to say the right thing around guys, unlike her best It Girl friend who knows the moves and lines to catch an older, adorable, sophisticated boyfriend. But Jan’s about to learn that in life and romance, being a Not It Girl has some major rewards.

OK!

So what did I just read? It felt like I read a fifth grade book when its meant to be obviously for young adults. Confessions of a Not It Girl was a very confusing book. I mean I don’t even KNOW what the hell her confessions were. Really. And the book was a stupid twister of words and it was childish. I mean it felt like reading some little teenager story that had no sense at all. Jan was such a messed up girl who whined a lot and just didn’t know what to do. And the little romance parts do not even deserve to be called romance parts. More like elementary romance where the boy is to shy to ask the girl out and all that crap. I don’t even know why i wasted my time reading this. And don’t even get me started on the ending.
